Strategic Pillar
Capacity Building for Safer & Respectful Care
Building the capacity of patients, caregivers, community actors, and healthcare providers to promote safer, respectful, and patient-centred care.
About this program
Patient safety is a shared responsibility. Patients and caregivers need knowledge and confidence, while healthcare workers and facility teams need support to strengthen respectful communication, informed consent, confidentiality, complaint handling, and patient engagement. We develop training for community champions, volunteers, patient advocates, caregivers, and healthcare stakeholders on patient rights, safety practices, referral ethics, respectful care, safeguarding, and communication.
